With our STEINBAUER V-Max-Box your speedometer’s circle is closing and therefore enables you to discover a new 'terra incognita'. The installation of this never ending enthusiasm is as simple as our customers are used to.
Now the technical backround as follows:
In case of vehicles with V-Max-restriction the speed is sent to the vehicle’s ECU, which regulates and reduces at the adjusted maximum speed, so this speed can not be exceeded.
The speed signal for the ECU is provided by the vehicle manufacturer depending on the model either through the CAN-bus system (CONTROL-AREA-NETWORK) or modulated analogue signals. Exactly at this point our technology comes into operation.
The STEINBAUER VMAX-Box modifies the speed signal, so that the the original power reduction and regulation is not made by the ECU.
